The Playwright

Kathy Coudle King has been writing plays for two decades. She holds a BFA in Dramatic Writing from N.Y.U. and an M.A. in English from the U. of North Dakota where she currently teaches writing, literature, and in the Women Studies department. Many of her plays were created while working as the playwright-in-residence at the U. of North Dakota's Women's Center. Several of the plays were performed for women's groups and conferences. All of the plays have been produced or received staged readings. In addition to writing plays, Kathy's first novel, Wannabe , was published in 2000 by Creative Arts Book Co., Berkeley. She lives and plays in Grand Forks, North Dakota with her partner, 4 children, and her cat, Snuggy.
