Seven women rehearse Lorca's play, "The House of Bernarda Alba," while serving time as political prisoners in Uruguay during that country's "dirty war" in the 1970's. Inspired by the real-life testimonials of former inmates during those years; their's is a story of survival and compassion.

Flesh & Bones
When a big-wig director is brought in to direct the spring high school musical, the best girl for the part is overlooked because of her weight. At the behest of her best friend, she embarks on a zany diet & exercise regiment that brings her full circle: to self acceptance.
CAST: Requires a min. of 8 actors, 6 Women & 2 Men, with extras added as production allows. Billi must be clearly over-weight and able to sing the blues. There are 3 musical numbers.
SET:  Suggestive pieces to indicate diner, living room, and various meeting rooms.

Trees
A woman with end-stage breast cancer invites her two oldest friends to a cabin in Minnesota. They believe she is on the mend, while she has been urged by her attorney to discuss guardianship of her daughter with one of the women. The decision is complicated as both friends are not only eccentric in their individual ways, but lead demanding professional lives. The woman's choice will surprise everyone in the cabin, including herself.

Last Call
A historical drama set in 1890 in Hatton, ND, this play brings to life a Lutheran Ladies Aid group that beomes fed up with the impact the saloons are having on their families and community. They take it upon themselves to march into town on a frigid January day and storm the bars, letting the whiskey flow! Their actions result in many things, including a trial for murder. A play filled with delicious Lutheranisms and even a few recipes.
CAST: Requires 6 Women & 3 Men.
RUNS: approx. 100 mins.
SET: Single set, the basement of a Lutheran Church in 1890.
NOTES: Premiered at the Hatton Community Theatre, a cutting of the play was taken to the state community theatre festival in Minot, North Dakota, and it was subsequently performed in full at the UND, Burtness Theatre for Conference on Alcoholism.

St. Bette's
In 1961, four women spend a sweltering summer at a home for unwed mothers. As they await the birth of their babies, they struggle with their choices, and lack of choice. Some may change their minds, others not, but none will ever forget that summer.
